Bookmarks Break Reading Challenge
Better late than never, I have finally gathered all the books together for my Bookmarks challenge list. It’s larger than I thought it would be. And since I’m also using many of these for the 50/50/Me (FFM) and Telling Tales (TT) reading challenges as well, I am including notes on what each book qualifies for beyond the Bookmarks.
- Love Thy Neighbor –Peter Maass (FFM) Finished 2/23/2012
- Risky Writing — Jeffrey Berman
- How Fiction Works — James Wood (FFM)
- Tales of Gaslight New York — compiled by Frank Oppel (FFM)
- Outrage Passion & Uncommon Sense — Michael Gartner & the Newseum (FFM)
- Ellis Island Interviews — Peter Morton Coan (FFM)
- Symptoms of Withdrawal — Christopher Kennedy Lawford (FFM)
- Around the World in 80 Tales — Saviour Pirotta (TT–reading w/ Marcus)
- American Indian Myths and Legends — ed/sel Richard Erdoes and Alfonso Ortiz (TT–reading w/ Marcus)
- Great Irish Short Stories — ed Evan Bates (TT)
- The Complete Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales — ed Lily Bates (TT–reading w/ Marcus)
- Knees Up Mother Earth — Robert Rankin (FFM) Finished 2/19/2012
- Who Are You? — Malcom Godwin
- Turning Toward Happiness — ed Sara Jenkins (FFM)
- Sredni Vashtar and other short stories — Saki (H.H. Munro)
- Unleash Your Creativity — Rob Bevan and Tim Wright
- The Shadow Speaker — Nnedi Okorafor-Mbachu
- One Hundred Names For Love — Diane Ackerman
Some of these joined my reading list this year, namely Knees up, Mother Earth and The Brother’s Grimm. Others are meant to be works in progress, since short stories should not be digested en masse, at least not in my opinion. I will endeavor to make a review of the book as I finish it and post an update page if I add more to this tally. But that’s one heck of a list, and there are all the books that I know I didn’t find…. Yep, I really DO need to Save the Bookmarks.

Well done on your impressive list Eden. I’m only on nine so far, but any more than one a week and well, I can’t imagine doing more than that and everything else I get up to. 🙂 I’m doing much better on my movies list though. Think I’ve probably even finished the fifty required. Need to update my list AS WELL AS my Pinterest account for fiftyfifty.me. 🙂

This list looks fantastic! Thanks for getting it up and hunting down all those books around your house that have trapped their bookmarks! 🙂 If you get the chance, would you note the ones you have finished reading? I know you said there were a few you were 1/4-3/4 done with. But once you have finished ones it’s would be neat to label them so people know they can start talking to you about them without spoiling anything! Thanks a bunch! This is going to be a great year for the challenge—already is!

I’ll update the list as I finish books certainly, or post an “update page” or some sort of thing… Something at least. 😉 And thanks for having me in the challenge.
